THE GARDENER'S JOURNAL
Join me in my studio to create this mixed media gardeners journal to fill with all your garden plans, and planting schedule, or fill it with dreams, memories, and garden-inspired words and poetry. I like to do a mixture of both, adding to it each season and year.
CLASS OVERVIEW
- Learn how to make a journal from household paper waste
- Layer mixed media to create a unique cover with pressed plants
- Create vintage style seed packets and pockets
- Learn how to use the 'Garden Journal' printables in creative ways
CLASS MATERIALS
I encourage you to use supplies you already may have, you really only need a few things to begin, and as you find other items they can always be added at a later date, which is the real beauty of it.
- You will need some type of glue, PVA is great, or modge podge or acrylic medium.
- Some opaque white paint; white gesso, gouache, even household emulsion will do.
- A selection of paper and card. A cereal box or similar, brown paper, lined paper, packing paper, printer paper, any paper can be used to form the pages of your journal. An old notebook can be repurposed too.
- Any pressed flowers or small plants you may have (this is not necessary but I will be demonstrating how to use them)
- The digital kit printed out.
