Rooted on the Suffolk coast, my work emerges from walks, gatherings, quiet acts of noticing.
I’m Abby Monroe Noble — an artist, photographer and designer whose creativity is shaped by living as much as making, where art, home, and story entwine.

MY PRACTICE
My practice is grounded in slow making, seasonal rhythms, and an attentiveness to place, home, memory, and time. I work across mixed media, photography, collage, and text, allowing my work to emerge and grow with the cycles of nature.
I believe in building a creative life that can be sustained — one that holds rest, curiosity, and change alongside the work. This online space is an extension of my studio: a place to share process, finished work, and the mystical, magical thinking that supports both.
My work is deeply connected to the Suffolk coast, where landscape, folklore, and the passage of time shape both material and meaning. Through collage, assemblage, and intuitive making, I work with fragments — photographs, textiles, found relics — allowing each piece to guide its own becoming.

MY PROCESS
My process is an act of alchemy, weaving memory, myth, and landscape to unlock the unseen. Themes of mid-life, the feminine, climate, and cyclical change run quietly through the work.

my path
My creative path began in ballet shoes and the school darkroom — in movement, light, and the quiet act of noticing. I trained at the University of the Creative Arts, with a period of study at the Maastricht Institute of Art, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art in 2000.
In 2008, I completed an MA in Textiles at Chelsea College of Art, later expanding my practice through studies in Interior Styling at Central Saint Martins.
In 2025, I relocated to the Suffolk coast with my art college sweetheart — a return to a slower, more attentive way of living and making. From my home studio, often accompanied by two feline studio companions, the land, sea, and sky continue to shape and inform my practice.
